Teachers support cognitive development through hands-on, purposeful experiences and self-directed activities that encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and a deep understanding of concepts at each child’s pace.
Teachers foster physical development through indoor and outdoor play and activities geared at the development of large and small motor skills, coordination, and manipulation.
In a Montessori classroom, spiritual development is nurtured through activities that promote self-reflection, mindfulness, and respect for others. Within AMCC, we extend our spiritual development with once a week Chapel time with our Pastor, where our Pastor can share a Bible story, as well as singing a prayer before meals.
We actively work to promote inclusion and embrace one another through love, respect, and acceptance. We welcome ALL families to share our culture of joyful learning and social connection.
Our connection with one another is deeply rooted in mutual respect and finding shared values with one another. Valuable social skills modeled and emphasized include grace and courtesy, kindness, respect, tolerance, empathy & compassion, responsibility, and love for nature.
